Stuart Community Concert Band
The Stuart Community Concert Band originated in the early 1900s with a shared goal of rehearsing and performing for the local community.
Today, we continue to fulfill this objective by organizing up to 10 concerts each year and holding open rehearsals that welcome anyone interested in playing along or simply listening to the music. We are committed to achieving the highest level of musicality in our performances. Our band boasts a mix of professional musicians and hobbyists who play for the sheer joy, pleasure, and camaraderie of it. We are proud to have several long-time members who have played together for over 20 years, as well as members over 80 years young. Newcomers are always welcome to join us.
Our musical director, Mr. Jim LeBon, is a retired band director from Southport K-8 in Port St. Lucie. He not only brings his experience as a skilled musician who has performed with many local groups, but also serves as an adjudicator for Florida band competitions and arranges music for young bands.
Our rehearsals are held at the Elliott Museum on Hutchinson Island every Monday evening from 7 to 9 PM. Seasons run from late August until early July, with our final performance around July 4th.
We invite you to come and join us for an evening of music and fun.
"Band members need to be recruited and current band members need to bring their friends to rehearsal to take a test drive in playing with a group once again." - Jim LeBon
